Annual Members Reception & Mixology Workshop

We’ve added a new twist to CFA Society Washington, DC’s ever popular fall kickoff event! This year, instead of serving the finest beer on tap, we’ll be teaching our members how to make delicious craft cocktails from home. Join your friends and colleagues for this year’s Annual Members Reception, featuring our first ever Mixology Workshop!

During the Mixology Workshop, you’ll learn farm-to-bar mixology concepts using simple and easy to find ingredients, like fresh herbs and fruits. Master mixologist Mitch Harris from Paradise Bar Events will teach basic techniques like how to cut garnishes properly and provide a tool tutorial on the proper ways to use a strainer, shaker, muddler, and jigger during this interactive and fun session.

Sit and watch or put your skills to the test in real-time as Mitch instructs the group. Most importantly, we’ve designed this event to be highly interactive! Ask questions, show off your favorite at-home barware, and be sure you’re crafting the perfect cocktail. Once our drinks are complete, we will leave the webcast running for networking and socializing!

• Lemonade (or other juice), Fresh Basil, Berries, and Spirit of Choice

Recommended Tools:

• Muddler and Shaker

While it is not required, you may purchase a Mixology Kit, which includes a shaker, strainer, muddler, jigger, and pour spouts directly from Paradise Bar Events. A renowned celebrity mixologist and member of the Food and Beverage Industry for over 20 years, Mitch began his career at a multi-million-dollar national restaurant chain, quickly rising to the position of General Manager. True to form, Mitch soon took on the new adventure of owning and operating his own restaurant in the Los Angeles area. It became clear throughout his early time in the industry that his true passion lay in Bar and Beverage Service, leading Mitch to found Paradise Bar and Beverage Services in 1999.
