Volunteer Opportunities
Welcome to CFAW’s Volunteer Opportunities. This is where you can view annual volunteer opportunities and see if there is something that fits your interests, expertise, and schedule. There are both short-term opportunities to assist at events, as well as CFAW’s one-year term committee volunteer positions. You must be a current CFAW member to volunteer.
When you are ready to apply, complete and submit the Volunteer Application here, or at the bottom of this page.
Opportunities will be posted throughout the year, so check back often to learn about new opportunities!

Programs & Education Committee
This committee helps plan the Society’s education programs and events throughout the year. Volunteers for this committee are divided into specialty areas that CFAW wishes to focus on and meet to come up with suggested program topics and possible speakers within their area of focus. If you are new to CFAW and want to “check us out” or only have limited time to volunteer, then the Events Operations Task Force is the best way to engage with our community as a volunteer.
-
- Event Operations Task Force
This is the ultimate “micro-volunteer” opportunity. Volunteer at an individual program or event for typically two or more hours. Activities include greeting and directing attendees or assisting with the registration check-in process. As these individual opportunities arise, an email will be circulated to all event operations volunteers to solicit interest. Volunteers will then be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Online Community Task Force
This task force will help CFAW launch its new online community for members, CFAW Connect, by being early adopters of the platform. This task force will strategically build the community so that it is enticing and valuable to all CFAW members. Volunteers will routinely populate the community with content by starting new discussion threads, responding to existing threads, posting shareable content, etc. This is a perfect opportunity for anyone who is active on and/or enjoys social media. The estimated time commitment is 1 – 2 hours per month.
