Daniel O’Connor, CAIA

Dan O’Connor joined CFA Institute as a Director of Institutional Relations in 2014 and works with key institutions and universities regarding their adoption of CFA Institute’s educational programs, initiatives, and policies. Most recently Dan was a Senior Vice President at City National Rochdale Investment Management in New York responsible for managing the sales and capital-raising efforts for its alternative investment strategies. He has over 20 years of investment industry experience, and has worked extensively with mutual funds, SMAs, ETFs, hedge funds, private equity LPs, real estate funds and other traditional & alternative investment vehicles throughout his career.

Previously, Dan was the Head of North American Development & Investor Relations at FQS Capital Partners, a multi-strategy hedge fund of funds. Prior to FQS, he was a Senior Managing Director for Sales at Asset Alliance, and earlier in his career held several sales & relationship management roles within Citigroup’s alternative investments and asset management businesses.

Shaheen Verjee, CFA

Shaheen Verjee is the Head of Partnerships at CFA UK. She works with firms across the investment management industry to improve their access and understanding of CFA UK qualifications in investment and sustainability as well as professional learning in ethics. She is a CFA Charterholder and holds an MBA from INSEAD. She previously worked as a Fund Manager at Cazenove Capital Management, running portfolios for high net worth private clients.
