Charterholder Recognition Ceremony

Each year, the CFA Society of Washington, DC (CFAW) celebrates the hard work, sacrifice, and dedication of those who have attained their CFA designation.

On Thursday, October 24, 2019, join us for a very special evening at Sands Capital Management as we present the newest charterholders with their ceremonial CFA charters. Bill Scott, CAE, President & CEO of CFAW will be introducing the new charterholders. Following the ceremony will be a presentation from Kurt Schacht, JD, CFA, Managing Director of Advocacy​, CFA Institute and a reception with light appetizers, a chance for new charterholders to take photos and network with fellow society members.

This celebratory event happens only once a year and is something you won’t want to miss!

Kurt Schacht, JD, CFA, is managing director for policy and regulatory relations at CFA Institute. He oversees global advocacy efforts including regulatory consultations, policy research, standard setter engagement and serves on a range of stakeholder advisory groups engaged on investment management policy issues.
