Closing the Gender Income/Wealth Gap

The Women’s Investment Network (WIN) invites you to a virtual member-organized event on November 18, 2021, from 6 to 7 PM ET.

The featured speaker is Ms. Christine Benz, director of personal finance and retirement planning for Morningstar. She will delve into women’s income and wealth versus men’s, how/whether women invest differently than men, and how to close the gap.

At Morningstar, Christine is focused on retirement and portfolio planning for individual investors. She was named as one of the 10 most influential women in wealth management by Barron’s in 2021, and listed on their 100 most influential women in finance in 2020 and 2021.

Christine is the author of 30-Minute Money Solutions: A Step-by-Step Guide to Managing Your Finances (Wiley, 2010). She is also co-author of Morningstar® Guide to Mutual Funds: 5-Star Strategies for Success, a national bestseller published in 2003. She is a frequent public speaker and is widely quoted in the media, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, CNBC, and PBS.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and Russian/East European studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
